Prof Dr.N.R.Kumara SwamyAdvocate & HR Consultant
Prof. Dr.N.R.Kumara Swamy (lovingly known as ‘NRK’) is an expert in HR, Industrial Relations and Labour/Employment Laws. Prof. Dr. N.R. Kumara Swamy has more than 35 years of experience and has advised a wide range of clients in his tenure. He is also a professor currently teaching at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (PGD in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations and Labour Laws). He has further worked as Professor and Administrative Principal of Havanur College of Law, Bangalore very early in his career.
Dr.N.R.Kumara Swamy is a Science graduate from Bangalore University, Law Graduate from Bangalore University, has a Masters Degree in Labour Laws from Annamalai University, Masters Degree holder in Labour Studies from Madurai Kamaraj University, Doctorate in HRD from Washington International University, USA, Doctorate in Law from Bangalore University, Post Graduate Diploma holder in Training & Development from ITD Delhi, Post Graduate Diploma holder in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (recipient of Gold Medal), Post Graduate Diploma holder in Business Management from Bangalore University and Post Graduate Diploma holder in Industrial Psychology and Industrial Safety.
Dr. N.R. Kumara Swamy worked at Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers for nine years, and was in charge of personnel, industrial relations and training. He served for one year as Head of the Department – Personnel in National Textile Corporation group.
He also worked for two years as Head of the Department – Personnel in Escorts Limited.
He has over 35 years of outstanding experience as Advocate, Management Consultant in HRD, Personnel Management, Industrial Relations and Labour/Employment Laws, conducting Training Programmes for Managers, supervisors and workers, authorised person for ISO 9000 certification.

Mrs Shantha N Swamy Advocate & HR Consultant
Mrs Shantha N Swamy is the co-founder of K & S Associates. Shantha has a Masters degree in Science from Bangalore University, Bachelors in Law from Bangalore University and Masters in Labour Laws from Annamalai University. She also has a PG Diploma in IRPM from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and a Diploma in Industrial Psychology.
Shantha has over 30 years of experience dealing with Labour/Employment compliance and conducting due diligence. Shantha further extends her specialities into HR set up, drafting HR policies, certification of Standing Orders, negotiations with the Trade Unions & drafting settlements, handling disciplinary matters starting from drafting charge sheets ending with preparing termination letter. She also advises the Managements on issues like closure, retrenchment, lay-off and drafting various applications required for approval by State Government/Central Government.

Ms Rashmi Nayak Senior Associate
Rashmi Nayak is a Senior Associate and has been working with K & S Associates since 2003. Rashmi has a Bachelors degree in Law from Bangalore University; Masters degree in Labour Laws from Annamalai University (Chennai) and Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (Bangalore).
Rashmi has over 16 years experience in Labour/ Employment laws which includes due diligence, statutory compliances and auditing. She also has experience in real estate and corporate law. Rashmi further specialises in handling litigation with extensive experience in working on Labour, Civil & Criminal matters both in the lower and High Courts.

Ms Ramya Kumar IP Consultant
Ramya has over 10 years work experience of handling trademarks, copyright, designs, domain name disputes, IP protection in the games industry and patent litigation. Ramya heads the IP practice and advises the firm’s clients on IP strategy, brand protection, protection of new technology, IP portfolio management and IP focussed due diligence. Ramya has in depth knowledge in advising clients in multi jurisdictions i.e., India, UK, Europe and US.
